Password Protect Sections, Pages, or Posts
WordPress allows you several different password protection options. You can password protect your entire website, sections of your website, pages, or even certain posts.
You can create ‘groups’ of users that are able to view designated sections of your website. For example, on a membership based site everyone can view public files and members can view public and private sections of the site. With a membership website, we can even show/hide specific content within a page to different member groups and/or depending on if the user is logged in or out! Offer your website visitors a dynamic experience with our membership websites. Learn more about membership based sites here.
Password Protect Directories, Files, and Server Permissions
We know that security is important. We are able to set passwords and file permissions on individual files and folders of your website using .htaccess and .htpasswd files in your server. We can do this with or without WordPress. Additionally, there are multiple security plugins for WordPress that offer this functionality and track every file change on your server space. With these installed you can work in security, and peace of mind, knowing with confidence that your website is protected!
